Premios Oscar 2025: Anora Demuestra Que el Cine Independiente Sigue Importando

Los Premios de la Academia de 2025 tuvieron muchos ganadores repartidos en diversas categorías, pero Anora se destacó por encima de todos.

Con noventa y seis años, los Oscars 2025 siguen sorprendiendo a artistas y audiencias. La 96ª edición de los Premios de la Academia mantuvo las tradiciones de décadas, con el brillo y glamour de celebridades, estrellas de cine/televisión y músicos reunidos para una noche espectacular. Mientras las películas más grandes de 2024 competían por el reconocimiento, Anora, de Sean Baker, tuvo las mayores victorias la noche del domingo, llevándose cinco premios. La ceremonia de premios fue presentada por el comediante, podcaster y presentador Conan O'Brien en el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles.

Los Oscars 2025 fueron menos dramáticos que en años anteriores, con algunas bromas atrevidas y algunas estrellas compartiendo sus opiniones sobre los conflictos entre Ucrania y Rusia y entre Israel y Palestina. En cuanto a homenajes, la Academia honró a la franquicia de James Bond por su impacto cinematográfico en la gran pantalla a lo largo de las décadas. La muerte de Quincy Jones y Gene Hackman fue resaltada en el segmento de memorias de este año por sus respectivas contribuciones a las industrias de música y cine.

Los Premios de Cine Canadiense 2025 llegan a Crave

La primera batalla de la noche fue dura para el Mejor Actor Secundario, pero Kieran Culkin de A Real Pain ganó al final. En cuanto a la Mejor Actriz Secundaria, Zoe Saldaña dio una victoria triunfal por su papel en Emilia Pérez. Timothée Chalamet de A Complete Unknown tuvo la oportunidad de reescribir la historia y destronar a Adrien Brody como el ganador más joven en la categoría de Mejor Actor. Pero irónicamente, el premio fue para Brody por su papel en The Brutalist. Mikey Madison ganó su primer Oscar como Mejor Actriz, sorprendiéndonos a todos ya que Demi Moore había estado liderando la temporada de premios por su papel en The Substance.

Al final de la noche, Anora fue la estrella del evento. El escritor, director y editor Baker ganó en las categorías de escritura, dirección y edición. Empató el récord con Walt Disney por el mayor número de premios ganados por una sola persona en una noche. Era una locura, pero no poco realista que un giro moderno de Pretty Woman pudiera ganar numerosos premios para una película que solo tuvo un presupuesto de 6 millones de dólares.
