Metallica anuncia una reedición especial de 'The Black Album' y un álbum de portadas repleto de estrellas

Metallica ha anunciado un par de lanzamientos especiales para celebrar el próximo 30 aniversario de su álbum 'Metallica', alias 'The Black Album'.

El quinto álbum de estudio de la banda, que lleva su propio título, se publicó en agosto de 1991 y contenía canciones como "Enter Sandman", "The Unforgiven" y "Nothing Else Matters".

'The Black Album' será remasterizado para la nueva reedición "definitiva", que saldrá a la venta el 10 de septiembre a través del propio grupo Blackened Recordings.

Entre los formatos que albergará la reedición se encuentra un doble LP de vinilo de 180 gramos, un CD estándar y una edición ampliada de 3xCD, descarga digital, streaming y una edición limitada en caja de lujo. El pedido anticipado ya está disponible.

Otro lanzamiento, 'The Metallica Blacklist', contará con más de 50 artistas, cada uno de los cuales contribuirá con "una interpretación única" de su canción favorita del 'Black Album', y los beneficios del disco homenaje se repartirán entre las organizaciones benéficas que elija el artista y la Fundación All Within My Hands de Metallica.

El disco se ha adelantado hoy (22 de junio) con el lanzamiento de la versión de Miley Cyrus de 'Nothing Else Matters', que cuenta con la participación de Elton John, Chad Smith de Red Hot Chili Peppers, WATT, Yo-Yo Ma y Robert Trujillo de Metallica - puedes escucharla a continuación.

El álbum de 53 canciones también se publicará en formato digital el 10 de septiembre, y en formato físico el 1 de octubre (incluyendo una edición 4xCD y una edición limitada en vinilo 7xLP).
